Any ideas on an affordable gun case for 3 barrel combo shotgun?

I've got a 3 barrel combo shotgun. Does anybody have a case for theirs that holds all 3 barrels or have any ideas on what to use?

I laid it out in a Plano double gun hard case and it seems pretty tight. The foam is also soft and thin and not really suited to hold the barrels from moving. Anything customisable seems to be really pricey.

Would appreciate any ideas, pics, suggestions.....

Thanks, Owen M.

About the cheapest would be a Pelican case with cutouts for the three barrels and receiver. You can purchase more dense foam if desired. I have a Browning three barrel set, as well as a Krieghoff three barrel set, and I much prefer the Americase that came with the Krieghoff, but they are expensive.

Americase are expensive and heavy. I used one when I had a three-barrel set and you didn't want to carry it long distances.

The Americase units are real nice, especially for a gun mainly used at the range. I guess I should have mentioned it's not a high end trap gun but a Mossberg with a turkey, field and rifled barrel with a cantilever and I have a red dot on the cantilever to protect. I do like the towel/gun sock idea. I might try sewing a towel or 2 gun socks together to hold 2 barrels and slip it inside a hard case I have. That might hold them from sliding around.

In that case, just go with a Pelican type case where you can cut out foam for the barrels. There isn't any point to buying a case that costs more than the gun.

I thought that you were talking about an O/U three barrel set. When you have a gun costing $5k or more, you don't mind spending a fair bit for a higher end case.:)
