Any ideas on semi only FG42 replicas?

Just watched some videos from forgotten weapons, they mentioned there is a company down south can do semi only FG42 replica, in both 8mm mauser and 308, any body ever try to bring them up here? It's really an awesome gun

Stay away from BD42s, unless you like manufacturing replacement parts, heat treating improperly heat treated parts, re-setting the torque shoulder on the barrel, and repinning it...

Then again that could be exactly what you're looking for...

SMG guns makes them; their quality is phenomenal and they've been producing for some time. From personal contact they're so swamped with trying to vaguely keep up with the American market that they have cut the rest of their production to keep up with their FG42 demand. The amount of effort required to get their guns ok'd with the BATF for export and then through the CFC for import is pretty massive though - basically they have people throwing money at them, so unless we can pay enough to make ignoring their more easily accessed customers worth it, they don't have the time.
