I had a model 1920 in 250-3000 in poor condition. I sold it for $300.00, it had been drilled for a side mount and that devalued it considerably, along with the fact that the barrel had been set back and chamber re-cut and the headspace was dangerously large. If you have one in 98% condition it is worth $$$$ dollars to the collectors. Those things are scarcer than hens teeth, very rare. The only one I've ever seen is the one I had. One of the first really lightweight bolt rifles ever manufactured, way ahead of its time.

Tsavo's is more than likely a model 20 not a 1920, it's to far along to be a 1920. The last number cataloged on the model 1920/20 was 13006.

Rich, yours is a 1920 but the lowest serial I have for a 300 Sav is 394X, I'm wondering if it was rebarreled at some point.

If I'm not mistaken all the real early 1920s were 250s, the 300s caliber was not introduced till mid 1920s. I'm sure MDog have the numbers to support my observation?

Randy, your sorta half right, the 300 Savage was introduced in 1920, but with Rich's low serial number it would make his gun a 1920 made rifle and the 1920 wasn't chambered in the 300 Sav till later on in production.

I've got the numbers here on how many were made each year but I'm missing the page from 1925-1933. Tried my factory informant but he can't find the missing page either.
