Any interest in a Sako in 300 H&H special run?

The Brown or black bear isn't even on the list of rifles Stoeger plans on bringing into warehouse, in any cartridge

If we could convince Stoeger to order a special run of say the Brown Bear in 300 H&H Mag,would anyone be interested in one?

it s a good idea but i doubt the Sako factory will do a run on a non-catalogued calibre. but i can check how it works to get a special run from Sako.

have a good day.

Not me. I'm all gunned up already.

.

hahaha .... that's funny!
I've tried to convince myself of that sooo many times and always find a way to justify one more.

As for the Sako in 300 H&H I've aleady got one, old Sako FN Mauser in 300 H&H and one in 375 H&H so I'm good but great idea.

Sako seems to only chamber 300 H&H in there very expensive custom Safari model! Wish they made one in a classic with 26" chrome moly heavy taper barrel!

The only choice for a well built factory 300 H&H bolt is another custom CZ 550! ANother $3200+ rifle?

Winchester could easily rechamber the Super Express with the same barrel contour as there 375!

Only dreaming, Dale Z!

You still would need a 26" barrel to get the best performance out of the cartidge, so really who would want a stubby Kodiak.LOL ,almost all the crazy guys here!

The problem with the 300 H&H is it is ussually a hard sell against all the other modern 30 cal mags, but till you put a few rounds in the mag and see how well they feed and how accurate this cartidge is, then loosing a 100FPS than modern chamberings really doesn't matter?

Would love to se Sako and Winchester offer this in an current afordable model, good luck ,I hope someone will make the guns we want one day? cheers dale Z!

One of the things a H&H does better than the other magums derived from them,is that they perform very well in shorter barrels. A 300 H&H needs only a 22 or 23" barrel.

Had a post 64 with 24 or 22 inch barrel, can't remember? But lost alot of velocity on my older Chrony, when I got a pre 64 26" barrel the velocity increase quite a bit , but I had a new Chrony by then! So maybe the older Chrony was not up to snuff?

Would love to hear from others who have short barreled H&H's with what the handloads Chrony at!

Great thread for a great cartidge!

Now since my freind needed my pre-64 more than I, I must start to plan my next 300 H&H build or factory rifle:stirthepot2:

cheers from bush country, Dale Z;)
