Any luck buying MG mount out of Europe??

Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with bringing any mounts out of Europe.Can it be done relatively painless or is it not worth the headache. I found a Sokolov in Czeck , shipping ain't as bad as I thought, kinda spendy though.Tough decision because of the distance,not wanting to get screwed and have no recourse. Any input muchly appreciated Q

"...not worth the headache..." Definitely. You run into European laws, most of which don't allow military parts, of any kind, to be exported without reams of paperwork. And sometimes not at all.
Saw something, Canadian, the other day, Criminal Code regulation, I think it was, that said MG parts can't be imported either. MG mounts/tripods etc. are considered to be parts.
