Hi,

There're lots of Ruger 10/22 barrels around. I'm just wondering, are there any bolt, lever, or pump action .22 rifles (made by Ruger or other manufacturers) that are compatible with these barrels ? By compatible I mean you can install a barrel designed for standard Ruger 10/22 without any modification to either the gun or the barrel.

Thanks.

Can't recall how a 77/22 barrel attaches but anything else - nothing around!
It is a proprietary mounting system.

77/22 barrel attaches in a similar manner, but the barrel breeches aren't indentical.
I think that is the closest you will get.

The Ruger 96/22 lever action uses similar barrels. You would have to cut a notch in the breech end of a 10/22 barrel for the second extractor, but it would otherwise drop in.

i always thought it would be fun to make a gatling style gun with some of the extra 10/22 barrels....
i think there may be plans available online?

Unfortunately, Gatling guns and other manually operated MGs are prohibited. We can't have people having too much fun, after all.
