Hey guys,

Just curious, I seen some pictures of the svt40 carbine, or maybe it was called the SKT.....Any way it was really short - Cute looking.

Any one look into this? Cutting it down to the legal length ?

Thanks

Yes, made by Globe Firearms in the 70s. and most were Finns :(
Some were converted to 303, some stayed 762x54r
I have one, unreliable at best. i think this is due to the barrel being cut off right after the gas port.

I've had two people try to sell me "carbine" svt's. Both were globe co. abominations. One even had the front sight assembly and flash hider moved back and pinned right in front of the gas assembly. Looked ok, but like the rest of globe's products, was essentially a hand grenade.

Skirsons must be on holidays. I can't measure mine right now, but how close would you be to the gas port at legal length?

lol... I'm sure on the Miniature Poodle Forums someone posts every day:

"Man I love Miniature Poodles too...ever tried putting one in a blender? So good!"

In this case I agree with you skirsons

Every cut down SVT 40 I ever saw looked like a can of smashed a$$holes. when I saw the SA stamp I got a little sad.

Here are the pictures.

I'll be darned. They did exist as original milsurps. Very neat!

Interesting that the last illustration looks like they tried to cross the SVD with the SKS too.
