Like the title says, I'm looking for any experiences with the new nikon x1000.

I'm looking for a scope for my coyote rig (ideally under $1500) and this seems like a nice option. I've always liked nikon glass but hated the reticles and this seems to have resolved that issue. Other scopes considered are the Mark 4 and the NF SHV/NXS but I'm open to others I guess.

I have one still in Box waiting on a BCL102. I am impressed with the fit/finish. I had previously purchased a Nikon Black 1-4, which sitting on a x95 and I'm really happy with it.

I have had a couple similar products from the Viper PST line and say these are on par. It would come down to personal choice.

You won't be disappointed!

I was interested in one of these, until somebody on here had trouble with his. Thought he had trouble getting it fixed or something. Maybe he will chime in.

I was wondering when (if) Nikon would catch on that there's money to be made in tactical precision scopes. They've jumped into a good price point that already has tons of options (Vortex, Bushnell, Burris, Sightron, now Sightmark as well), but I'm curious to see reviews and whether or not it has anything special that'll give it an edge on the competition.

That would have been me. I bought the 4-16x50 MOA reticle version, loved the glass and quick re-set turrets. Lots of vertical adjustment ( over 100 MOA), only one problem, the tracking went to drain after some 200 or so rounds on my 700/308. Started navigating Nikon warranty and that is where I had enough, being chased back and forth from US to Can warranty dept's until I found their center in Ontario, they replaced it but it took about 4-5 weeks to get a replacement. Incidentally, I dealt with Vortex warranty with my other scope at the same time, Vortex came back in 3 weeks including shipping from B.C. to Ontario and back and without any warranty navigational hassle. When Nikon came back, it was BNIB, I sold it and will not buy another one. I may have gotten an odd bad apple, I don't know but dealing with Nikon was an experience I will certainly do without in the future. My Vortexes have developed some issues that were in my opinion unnecessary but they dealt with it promptly without being chased back and forth by ignorant reps.

Anyone else have experience with these scopes. Thinking of the 4-16 or 6-24 to try. They look good online. Trying to get away from vortex

I had the same intention, for now I'm forced to stay with Vortex because of Nikon's inept warr/customer reps but I'm also looking very closely at Sightrons, I need one in 4-16 range and I'm now scouting out STAC series.
