Any other Chaparral rifle owners out there?

Marstar's been selling enough of them, so there must be a few out there.
Just curious if there's any issues to be on the look out for. Everything seems fine on mine, just being proactive in case there are any common problems that have been rearing their ugly heads.

Even with only having mine for a few days so far, I have to say I'm pretty impressed, especially so considering the price point. I can't imagine what extra a Uberti would do to be worth the $6-700 extra.

And here she is - an 1876 in 50-95 Express. Will probably be a little while before I get to take her out - have to amass some components and dies.

She is truly beautiful. Blackpowder loads only right? I think that the Uberti action can handle smokeless loads, it's stressed for it. Which might account for the higher cost.
Nonetheless......your Chap is lovely. I have seen 2 at my range, both owners say the shoot just fine. I know one of them had a problem with the wood on his, his had a veneer covering on the butt stock that chipped off after a safe tap. I know he got new wood for his....and this was quite a while ago. The second (later) 1876 Chap I saw most certainly had nice solid walnut.....

The Ubertis and Chaparral can both handle mild smokeless loads, but since they're a toggle link design, neither will handle hot loads. And the 50-95 was the only 1 of the 4 model 1876 chamberings that had factory smokeless loadings.

My '76 is a 45-75 in the NWMP configuration.
It is a good shooter with both Black and smokeless loads and functions very well. Having read several negative discussions regarding that model, I admit to being a bit skeptical at first but now I'm quite satisfied.
