Gentlemen:

I am truly not trying to beat a horse to death, (so Stevo please feel free to exersize your judgement- and yes I have done a search) however it would appear that some sources of 7.62x39 have dried up to some extent.

Canada Ammo is out and are not getting any in the near future.

Marstar has some stock in 1120 rounds for $189 + shipping + tax
(I am never sure how much shipping and haz-mat fees are)

Things Military here in Calgary has some $162 + tax for 900 round cases (Hungarian) Berden Primed - Non Corros
(When you buy you are always buying the second to last case and unlikely ever to see more)

Are there any other sources which have cases in real quantities to be sold ?? As they say here on the board “Buy it cheap - Stack it deep”

I’m seriously looking at a VZ-58 and want to make sure I can feed her for some time to come.

I appreciate all your help

Regards and All the best.

Richard,
Districorp still advertises the Hungarian, so they still probably have a lot of it. They'd be the ones supplying Things Military.

Marstar's supply is still there, but more expensive like you said.

Wolverine still lists the Czech M43 on their site for $145 + tax/shipping.

Lever Arms shows the Czech still in stock too.

What sort of quantities are you refering to? 5k, 10k, 20k rounds?

In your position I'd either keep going back and buying the "last two cases" Things Military had, or try Wolverine/Lever Arms.

Doubt it, considering it's steel cased and marked from the 70's. However, I'm afraid I bought the last two cases about year ago:p

The stuff from Things Military is definately corrosive. Put a nice layer of rust onto my SKS two days after firing a box.

Gentlemen:

Thank you for the heads up, and appreciate your time.

SlickNick:

See, this happens all the time with Bill at TM :D

Funny he is adversting this stuff in buysell, and I just cut and pasted his text.

Oh well, whats the latin phrase: Buyer beware??

Regards and all the best
