My wife just her dream gun, a 39A Golden trigger, and I just can't put it down!
Smooth lever, accurate with our bulk ammo and just plain fun.
Are there many out there? She got lucky with this one, nice to see her smile, better to see her smile because of a gun.

Of my wife or the gun?
Unfortunately my wife is quite fond of "snacks", by the time I back up far enough to fit her in the frame, you can't see the gun anymore.

What is this golden trigger you speak of. Is it something special. Mine says original golden 39A and it has a gold trigger but that is how they come, nothing special about it. And I too enjoy this gun as well. She has a fine shooter regardless, enjoy.

Sounds like the same gun, we have seen them, but she wanted the pre-safety version.
I have always known the 39A as a golden trigger, although there was a couple years they made them with blued triggers.
Great gun with a deep history, the Annie Oakley connection has both my daughters interested in the gun too.
Took us 7 years to get the right one in our hands.

Until I took this picture, I didn't even notice it had a scope mount on it.
But here it is, not likely any different than any other, but beautiful all the same!
I may get the trigger re-gold plated, give it to her in a ring box.. See where that gets me.

Sweet. Do you know what year it was made in. You can figure that out by the ser. #. You will be able to find the chart online.

Looks like 1981, for some reason I was thinking older.

Oh, and here is "chunky" petting the O/U in the gun vault. Got a smack for my last post.
Also, it is worth noting that her Father handed this gun to her on the weekend, I had nothing to do with it.
As I was going over websites for serial number decoding, I see there are some very nice replacement rear sights for this gun. I also noticed there is nicer wood available too, but I think it will sit the way it is for quite some time.

I see new replacement triggers are available in gold plate, $15.
In my search, I also see the large takedown screw is available in gold too, looks nice on the rifle. Not usually in to gaudy stiff like that, but it fits the gun.
With the micro grove rifling, are there any special cleaning tips?

A well deserved smack if you ask me! haha

Without hesitation. It's worth more than twice that.

Edit to add.. It is a great addition to a collection too.
