Any other semi .22mag / 17HMR's in HB out there?

Does anyone know if Ruger is planning on making a 10/22 Mag or 17 HMR semi-auto with a heavy target barrel? If no, can you get an aftermarket barrel for the .22mag? I'm looking for a semi-auto in .22mag, but right now the only option I can find out there is the Remington 597 HB. I hear mixed (mostly negative) views on this rifle. I love the 10/22 action, but Ruger seems to only make the .22mag version in a standard barrel. If anyone has info, I tks in advance. Also, if you have a Remington 597 HB that doesn't jam every 4 rounds, let me know.

Ruger quit making the 10/22 Mag in 2006. They're only listing a .17 in a bolt action too. Firearms companies generally don't advertise what they're planning on doing unless the marketing department wants to see if something will sell.
You might find a used HK .22 mag. Mind you, it hasn't been made for years. It didn't have a heavy target barrel.
Clark's Custom Guns sells .22 mag heavy match barrels for 10/22's. They start at $175US. The U.S. export permit will be required. You'd need a 10/22 Mag receiver to put it on though.
