Any place to hunting grouse around Calgary?

I wouldn't like a world where we couldn't have a bit of innocent humor once in a while!
Grouse are birds of the bush, lots of bush. Last time I went through Calgary I didn't see much bush country for many miles. Therefore, maybe we thought your question sounded a bit humorous.

Bragg Creek & points west.

Start cruising gravel roads. You will find them on the side of the road ingesting peebles and such. I usually get most of my ditch chickens that way.

water valley, sundre.... burnt timber is a nice spot but wear lotsa blaze in these areas because lotsa fudd's out and about.... and lots of LEO....

Yes, head north west of Calgary as suggested... There is nothing to see or hunt southwest of the city... Move along. :D

But seriously, either head north west as suggested or head south of Longview and head in to the forestry trunk road. You should have no problem finding grouse.

Head out to Waiparous, drive north on the forestry trunk road. By noon you'll see lots of chickens 'gravelling" on the road-side. Walking bush trails is also productive. Take your time walking and stop now and then, you'll see them walking slowly or cheeping. They tend to hold fast as you move on by. Look at the bases of trees and in the branches. Don't know what this year's like yet but last year was many birds and some bigger brutes too.
