Any Private Individuals Shipped Ammo by UPS ?

Hello All

I sold some Ammo through CNG recently and would have liked to ship it UPS.

They seem to have a lot of locations so it would be easier to deliver it to their location rather than wait for pickup.

UPS is delivering some I bought from a Member Company......so I know they handle ammo.

I've been to 3 different UPS stores and they all say they won't or can't ship the ammo.
It might be my Anti- Gun Paranoia sensor going off but I thought it was more personal than business.

Can anyone tell me their experience with a successful shipment?

I only started sending UPS emails Friday afternoon.....so haven't had a response from them yet.

AFAIK UPS will only transport ammo (dangerous goods) for commercial accounts. I believe Canpar is your only option but even then I'm not 100% sure they will ship for private individuals.

That is interesting since the last ammo I bought from wholesale sports just a couple months ago arrived by DHL and I have used them myself here for private sales in the past

Call your Canpar location before hand, the local Canpar in Halifax NS doesn't ship ammo unless you have a business account. UPS depots here don't ship ammo either (and you have to bring in your box opened and provide ID to ship now)
 
My local fed ex told me I need to fill out an MSDS to ship ammo. And I've had powder shipped to me , via UPS from a site sponser. But it ended up at my CP mailbox as there's no UPS here.
 
I have always shipped ammo via UPS. Never had a commercial account.

It is ungodly expensive though.
