I had an old mosin that has been through allot in its short life. The stock has been stripped over and over. The barrel bands have broken off, The barrel is rough with visible pits, The bolt sticky and hard to close. It sits here with grey primer all over it and is my winter time shooter and I love the thing its pretty accurate for the damage it has, Very impressive gun.

I'm thining to burlap wrap the forend including the rear stock when I get old burlap, are there any tricks to this? I have no idea where to start on the rear stock, Glue? elastic bands? Twine? Cant fin any real guides on google except to stupid video games.

If you're going for authenticity, then use twine.
