Any reason a mk2 stock wont fit a mk1?

So I bought two stock to use, but the mk2 is nicer. I cut and filed a particle board chuck to fit into the gap in the mk2 stock and is held in place using e factory screw. Anyone know any reason why I should fire the gun/use this stock?

It can be done, though it's normal to glue the spacer in place.

Yup, if you made the Mk2 stock look like a Mk1 stock, then it's now a Mk1 stock

Make sure that the wood you added is filed so that there's no interference with the sear or other moving parts.
