Hey all,
Bought a new Norinco HP9 12.5" barrel today. Kinda bought it on a whim.... price was right for $360
Im not really a shotgun guy, and was hoping for some info on it, as in, if its
considered a reliable shotgun, any known issues to keep an eye on, or is it generally an all around decent shotgun..
Thanks in advance!

I have a 14".

I haven't had any issuses.

Just make sure the mag tube cap is tight. Mine backed off one time.

Only problem in the last 700-800 rounds.:D

Thanks for the input, the stock is welded.

That's perfect. I like that folding stock too - the one that came with my 18.5" didn't have a rubber buttpad and hurt to shoot. Replaced it with a Knoxx and never looked back.

If you ever decide to replace the forend, you may have to enlarge the opening on the new forend (sandpaper on a dowel is all it takes) as the Norinco tube is slightly larger in diameter.

I am planning to replace the forend, and the info will save me a headache, thanks!!
