I understand Robinson Armament's XCR is shipping in the USA.
Have there been any reviews I could read on the web?
It looks like a good item.

Thanks.

DO you know that for-sure?

Or are you just hoping they will non-restricted?

The XCR is not a variant of any restricted or prohibited firearm. They also have an 18.5" barrel. However, since they are "almost ready to ship".... well.... you know the rest.

"two more weeks;) "

I don't think the XCR really exists. It is kind of like Bigfoot. Every once and a while you see a photo of it and some one claims to have have seen one but it never seems to turn up.
It's actually worse than Bigfoot because at least Bigfoot leaves a footprint once and a while:p

Don't quote me because I have not handled one yet but I heard there not what there cracked up to be.

If you are comparing it to the AR15/M16 platform, remember that the M16's have had almost 5 decades of collective improvements to get it right.

and after 50 years there are still some issues with them.

Who said anything about the M16? It's not prefect either.

I too think the XCR is the Yettie of the gun world. Just like those grainy pictures of some guy in a gorilla suit I think the XCR is just a dressed up AR15 lower with a funky looking upper, ever notice that you never get to see any close up pics of it:D :D :D

There's some articles and short reviews on AR15.com. Seems everyone's tired of waiting and bought something else instead :) Most of people there are waiting on FN SCAR, but that might be on a slowboat as well, huh?
For people (Americans) who already has XCR seems to like it, being accurate and easy to maintain, but without long-term testing, who knows? I think the verdict could go either way, but for us Canukistans with barrel restriction, it would actually do better than with Americans, I think. I just wish they, RobArm, had a capacity to run both XCR and M96 at the same time, cause I love M96 and think it's one of the better rifles we have these days.

Word meaning land..., so it means the Land of the Canucks ;) Really, who cares? If you don't like it, then you're free to substitute your own word, like 'Canadians.'

Anyhow, just talked to a buddy of mine in Seattle, and he told me he saw a XCR at the local gunshop. He said there was no price tag, but the shop manager said the rifle's already taken. Wouldn't let him hold it. :) Said it looked almost like AR, almost couldn't tell from distance.

That nice lady is a teaser and I'm sure she got very strict orders!
She could be bare naked, and her hands would still be on the "naughty bits" of the rifle!:p

Actually, no.
I was talking to the guys at Robinson Arms, they allowed anyone to handle the several guns they had on display, and just then Candy walked by. I asked her if she would be willing to pose for the world famous CGN Girls and Guns page (OK so I didn't really say that), and that is just how she modeled it. No orders to hide anything, and the RobArms guys were quite thrilled to have a bit of an impromtu photoshoot happen.
More photos in CGN G&G page 103 and 104.
