Any of mine that are rough have moved on to new homes, but will be replaced with much better 99's. I'm funding the gun fund myself again, not Momma. But am going to avoid the auctions as best as possible. Am seriously going to get one of Jed's Fs with the hang tag though. Les

I got your PM on that, glad for ya, I love my R, but haven't gone after a critter with it yet, that 303 is well blooded though. Gonna take the 300 R after Elk this year. Gotta like that longer barrel on your little Savage, that makes them look really slick. Les

My background Red happens to be Rugers. Got myself a nice 25-06 in an older tang safety M-77 R, Sure is a shooter. Shoot me a pic of that Super A, Dad and I are both tractor fiends. all of his are Farm-alls by the way, he likes his big toys, he has 5 of them.

Love my 99c and might post some pics of the old girl if I can figure out how to use this technological marvel whiz bang digital camera with more options a sane individual would ever think of using. Might just have to pick up another one. Kinda leaning toward 38-55. Just has a real nice ring to it. Almost bit on the 300 Savage in the ee. Or mebbe a 250-3000.... Did they ever come in a 22 Hornet? That would be sweet. Hmmm, better go before I dig in too deep.

A 38-55 isn't one that your gonna just go out and buy, unless you get lucky, they're kind of a rare bird. I've got two 38-55's, an 1899C and a 1899A Short Rifle. I see one of the gunshops down south has a 38-55 but the stocks are mismatched and numbers don't match so I passed. Might make a good shooter though and the price is right for a shooter.

I thought I had seen one on the ee a while back but could have been something else or mebbe on the 99 site. Got me all goose bumpy. I was reading on the 99 site in the states that if you have one you are likely to get another. Oh Oh. Trouble coming. Might just have to settle for another cal.

22 hp they also had 243 and 250-3000(first 25 cal to shoot 3000 fps I beleive).I realize the 243 and 250 aren't 22 calibre but I'm assuming your looking for a varmit type calibre.
Others are 308,300sav,303sav,7mm08,38 55,358,30-30.I think that's all of them,Maddog will know for sure.

Hell no, there were 15 calibers in the 99.
303, 30-30, 38-55, 25-35, 32-40, 250-3000, 308, 375, 7mm-08, 358, 243, 284, 300 sav, 22 H.P., and the 22-250.
Got em all except for the 7mm-08 and the 243. Only reason I don't have a 243 is cause I can't stand the caliber. Had a 7400 in 243 and I swore I'd never spend a plug nickel on another one again.
