Casey is the best gunsmith I have ever dealt with.

If I had to compare him to a female body part, I suppose the one suggested would describe the positive, satisfied feeling that one gets when dealing with him.

Hey Jamie, Casey at Tac-Ord is the man to talk to. I just got my barrel for my 930 back from him and couldn't be more pleased with the work that was done.
Regards.

I have had him install sights, lengthen forcing cone, cut down a barrel, silver on sight pedestal, install rail on a receiver. All done fast, done very well and reasonable prices.

I cannot recommend him enough. Best gunsmith I have ever used by a huge margin. Responds to emails fast, answers all my dumb questions. Fantastic customer service and does excellent work.

I had bought a used Mossberg 930 with the butt ugly muzzle brake on it and could not stand the looks of that thing. I had Casey remove the brake and the external threads and re thread it for Remington chokes as I have a bunch and there is more selection on them. I also had him install a large fibre optic bead and re-parkerize it. He also supplied a stainless steel mag follower, oversize charging handle and top pic rail. Service and work were top notch, I wish everybody was like him.
Regards.

What would you do this for? I don't understand...

Do what? weld the lift gate? Some lifters have a small to large cut out in them. It's a channel to help align the shell to the chamber as the shot is loaded. They tend to act like a pitch fork and trap your thumb in it, as you're reloading.

Thanks for that, I'm considering having some of the same work done to my 930.
