They're back! Friends of mine who live about a 5 minute drive from home texted me yesterday to let me know their quarter was snow covered. They text me every time there is birds on their place. I'm fortunate in that I am the only one they allow to hunt on their property. There won't be anyone beating me to it so I can let the birds sit a few days and get good and comfy.

Just got back from my last snow hunt of the year. Just splicing some clips together to share soon!
The Chinese couple that run the restaurant in my mom's home town will cook you up "duck supper" which is like a 15 course meal all made with duck or goose. No charge, of course, and they just do it for friends. She was after me for years to come for duck supper and I never took her up until the last couple of years that I hunted out there...should have done it sooner. It makes the trip out to Sask from the East Coast even more worth it.
wow very interesting. few days ago i visited a friend we have in common and told me the story of your factory bullets shipped to the real north ... and on the same token spoke about the hunters in the north waiting in the spring for the geese. i spoke with a friend from inuvik and they said when the geese are coming there is is about time as caribou meat was a little over due lol ... i love caribou meat but do not eat it that often nor geese or ducks.
