Other than on Ebay, I don't see that many sources for Sig P226 Grips... wondering if anyone knows sponsors or companies that ship to Canada.

I'm waiting for my pistol (about a 2 month wait in Ontario lately), so I have time to look for accessories.

I have another question, why are G10 grips so expensive??? If the choice is to pay $200+ for new grips I probably will keep the factory plastic ones, to be honest.

Thanks.

Always loved these Rosewood Grips...

VZ Grips make an amazing product, and they'll ship. <https://vzgrips.com/> I don't see the 226 on their website, but call them.

When you open the package, and see and feel the product, you won't think about the cost ever again.

You can get g10s for $60 US on Amazon.com, plus whatever shipping is. They have all kinds of grips for handguns, I actually just ordered a couple for an N frame revolver, and four sets of screws for Sig grips (those cost a quarter what they do here!). I get it shipped to my daughter in Arizona by Prime, and she drops it to me. Usually saves me about $20 on shipping. Or more, since I don't pay her back for shipping because she owes me so big time!

You can keep your eye on numrich. They aren't shipping to Canada at the moment because they are backed up with domestic orders but they have a lot of oem parts.

Try Tenda. I just got some scorpio grips for my 226 and I'm pretty happy with them. They're slightly thinner than the stock ones and have way more grip.

Apart from texture design differences, if going for G10 grips, they are all pretty similar since 'same material.'

Hogue Extreme G10 grips are found on some factory editions of Sigs. They also have nice offerings and designs.

Hogue G10s is the way to go. They make the ones for Sig.
If you can't find any here, you can order direct from them. They ship to Canada.

Has anyone tried Aluminum grips? They look good but what about comfort when shooting? Pic borrowed from the web...

I have put a set of those on my P220 Equinox , a P226 ss Elite in 40 S&W, and on a P229 Dark Elite....love them. They aren't slick like some of the original Sig grips (Rosewood and driftwood), slims them down....very comfortable. I like them as much as g10s. Maybe prefer them.

The aluminum grips are very slim and feel very good in the hand. The only issue I have had is they get pretty hot; like scorching hot, if you leave your pistol in the sun. I once set my pistol down on a table at the range which was in the shade. Unfortunately the sun moved and was beating down on my pistol and the grips were extremely hot when I went to pick it up. I wont make that mistake again. The pistol with G10 grips right beside it was warm but no where near as hot.
