Hi guys,

I've been wanting a open division race gun for quite some time now. I shoot 3 gun and IPSC production and I suck at both. I like how the STI DVC Open looks and I asked myself why not suck at open too!

I put down deposit for one then the more googling I do the less confident I become to own one. I wanted to know if there's any STI DVC owner could provide some first hand opinion on the overall quality and shootability of the line. Also, I wanted to know if anyone has actually have one of those well known race gun builder in the US built one for themselves, and imported it in. I like that STI has great warranty, as they have a distributor here in Canada. But DVC Open price-wise is one foot in the custom territory, and I really want something that works right out of box and not needing to have warrant dept on speed dial.

Not an owner but sti has Canada warranty in the country. Ck arms and Atlas will apparently warranty just like sti but you're sending it to the USA for that. Get in touch with doubletap sports for custom in Canada or go with the sti dvc open unless you are fine with having to send warranty issues over the border.

I have owned a custom built race gun, and would not go that rout again. If I was going to shoot open I would, without hesitation buy the STI in 9mm major. Canadian on the shelf parts, and local service is an invaluable resource. Lots of guys at our club are shooting these with no issues. Buy the STI with confidence.

Ive shot sti dvc classic last year, 60-80k rounds on it, cant really account.

Trusted it at nationals, and trusting a new dvc classic at the worlds.
The abuse i've put my dvc through has been phenomenal in my quest to learn.
