Any success stories about SKS and handguard mounted optics?

Hey guys,
Got around to getting my Norinco SKS put into a tapco body.
Looking to upgrade the sights as i'm not a fan of the original ones.

The Tapco handguard i installed is pretty solid and i'm wondering if i could mount a Bushnell TRS-25 Trophy with any success.

I've seen mixed posts about the SKS handguard not being a good option at all and others mentioning the opposite.

Anyone have any success stories or experience mounting optics on the tapco handguard?

Would i be better off looking into peep sights like the TS200?

Give it a try. That is the reason Tapco makes it such a tight fit. The only problem is it may become loose over time. If it doesnt work, grab a scout mount from BC Tactical, they DO work and theyre cheap.
