Hi folks,

I have been trying everywhere to find an AR-180B, and can't seem to find one.

Any suggestions on how I can track one down would be greatly appreciated.

I've looked at the internet sites, and am hoping someone will know a shop that sells them or some such.

Thanks.

A folk name "icestorm" sells one on a quebec based gun forum. Fire him an MP.

Its either icestorm or icestorm and a number at the end

They do come up on the EE from time to time, you just have to check it fairly regularly because they go quickly.

There was one for sale on the EE last week, for example. I'd say they come up every month or two.

I see you only have four posts so assuming you are new.
See the sticky threads in the top about new members, take your time to go through them.
Ask to join the EE. (The Equipment Exchange)

You can only join by asking.
Find the modern Rifle Exchange and take a peek every day.
There is usually one for sale each month or two.
You can also advertise by WTB or Want To Buy on the EE as well.

It is a huge money saver with many guys offering fair deals.

This, and be ready to buy quick and pay full price if it's reasonable.

What everyone has stated is the way to do it.

I'd place an add in the EE (Equipment Exchange) stating "WTB" ("Wanting To Buy") an AR-180B2 and be ready with an EMT account with a couple thousand dollars in it plus your PAL and hopefully you'll find one for around $1,500 or more depending on accessories and condition etc.

Again like some have stated I wouldn't haggle to much if it's one you really like as they are in demand (for a fair price) and tend to sell quickly (for a fair price).

Best of luck and post up a pic when you do find your new to you rifle, which I might add is a good choice for a NR .223 semi.-auto. black rifle (if found for a fair price;)).

Cheers D

Another option would be to find one on Gunbroker or a similar American gun auction site, then have IRUNGUNS to import it for you. If you'd rather not do all that legwork, they occasionally find one or two rifles themselves and bring them in and post them to their website, but they get bought up fast.

You know they are discontinued right? You will not find one in a shop.
If you find one on the EE just pay what they are asking. If you want one that's just the way it is these days.
If you go with irunguns or some other importer be sure it's an AR180B-2 model. It must be precisely the B-2 model or it will be restricted.

I have one that I bought new a few years ago and I'll never sell it, great gun.

If you want the great little gun it is then put a WTB ad on the black rifle exchange and get ready to pay up. Like any other hobby the sky's the limit. To each there own---Dieseldog!

Not true. Any sample of this gun built between 2001 and 2004 were made to be ban compliant, as the US assault weapons ban was in force until it ended in September of 2004. These guns will be marked AR180B, but will be identical to the AR180B-2 model, and therefore non-restricted. The reason for this is because after the ban ended, they re-tooled the standard model of the gun into a restricted configuration at that time for the American market, but since California still needed ban state compliant guns afterwards (and because they also just happened to fit into the Canadian non-restricted category), they kept the original configuration in production, but re-named it the AR180B-2 to differentiate between the 2 models.

The main thing to look for is the integral muzzle brake. If it has that, whether the gun is marked AR180B or AR180B-2, it should be the non-restricted model.

This is very important as many AR-180B barrels were cut down in the US, usually with an A1/A2 flashhider added. Gun Broker often has a few for sale in the $700-900 USD price range.
