Looking for a pistol grip rear stock (can be folding or fixed )for an Ithica 37 shotgun. Anyone know if any are currently being produced.I would like a matching fore-end as well if possible.
any help locating one would be appreciated.

Not much on that front... I've contacted Choate, Ithaca, and Marstar on that, but these things are hard to find. Your best bet would be Choate, as they do make side-folding stocks, and I think they've got "standard" pistol grip stocks as well, but they don't ship this side of the border. They do, however, deal with Brownells, who (I believe) does ship up here. I was going to contact them myself, but don't have the money for something like that at the moment. If you do end up contacting Brownells on that possibility, let us know what comes out of it.

Your only other option would be to try to get a stock from a Norc M37 clone... Not sure if a distributor would sell you one directly, or if you have to buy the entire thing and just take the stock off. Should be a pretty good fit.

As for forestocks... nothing matching, but if you want black synthetic try Brownells again. They had some listed on their site. Apparently there's a guy out East who's a bit of an Ithaca guru... Ron Sharpe, I believe. His name seems to come up regularly in Ithaca parts discussions...

There's a couple other threads on here that deal with this same question (I can think of one off the top of my head), so take a look through some posts and maybe something will work for you.

the norinco knock off and the stevens/savage ( whish is just a rebranded norinco) is close to being a m37 but its not so the stock set will not work.
Remmber if you do find stock that there is 2 different forend lenghts and 2,3 differend reciver stud lenghts,so a differend bolt for butstock will poss be needed.
i have refinished about 50 m37 shotguns over the years sone thing ill takek you is you will need to sold the butt stock bolt and the forend nut in oil to get the stock off, if the gun is older.May take a few days to set in.

I didn't know that... my assumption was that they were similar enough to use, but I've never tried one. Is it possible to modify the stock in order to get it to fit? It just seems the easiest (and quickest) way of getting a side-folding stock, short of ordering one from Brownells (assuming they can get it).

Are you looking for a pistol grip stock as in a "standard" stock with the pistol grip, or a pistol-grip only? Both are available, if you look around a bit. Like I mentioned before, Choate has both styles, but it's up to you to figure out how to get them across the border... they don't ship up here. Or, BadBoy might have what you need... or at least where you can find it.

Forends are a bit trickier... yours didn't come with a synthetic forend? Try contacting the shop that you bought the Stevens from and asking if they can track down a replacement synthetic forend. I think the Norcs are the same gun as your Stevens (with shoddier manufacturing, but don't quote me on that), so try seeing if Marstar or a local Norinco distributor can get you the parts.

id sell my standard synthetic butt stock and forend.... they are both brand new from ithaca and only have 5 rounds fired on them..... synthetic black

The Norinco YL12 folding stocks fit the Ithaca M37, the only issue is the bolt is metric. Easy enough to get an inch pattern bolt to fit for pennies, just match the thread.

If wonder when the telescoping/recoil absorbing PG stock option shown near the end of the video on the Ithaca homepage will be available? And when it is, if it'll be available as a separate item?

I contacted Ithaca about that, and they referred me to their Canadian distributor, whom I emailed, but no response yet... then again, I tried to "convince" him to send me a free one, so that may be the issue... I can go through my old emails and find out his contact info, if someone else is interested in giving him a shout. No real info from Ithaca on the availability though.

I phoned Ithaca last summer and they mentioned that "the M4 style stocks will be available soon". f:P: I've actually seen them on Gunbroker attached to a Defense model.
