Any opinions would be appreciated, especially from WMR owners.

I have one identical to the one shown in .22LR. It is slick as a whistle. If you lever it slowly the empty will not eject, lever it fast and it is flawless. It is a neat little gun and I use it all the time for plinking from the deck (I live in a rural area). All the SASS members speak highly of it. It can be fitted with a slide on scope. I also have that same holster in a right hand draw.

Cheers!

I have the H001 --.22 LR no frills-- and I love it and so do my kids. It's one of my favourite plinkers and is a nice light woods gun for squirrel hunting. I does look a bit like a toy gun, but hey, toys are fun!

I have a frontier model in 22 lr, and it shoots geat. 30 yards, 1 inch groups, iron sights. Longest kill shot was @ 60 yards, head shot. As mentioned abouve, no slow-mo stuff, nice quick motion on the lever. If you get one in either 22 LR or mag, spend the extra cash and get the frontier model, much nicer sights and feel. excellent gun for the money, and shoots straight too.

IF I was hunting for rabbit's or other small game it would be my goto rifle hands down! Plus it really good to get you in the mood for cowboy action shooting.
;)

The frontier model is the one to buy IMHO. Octagon barrel & metal parts compared to the lower Henry models with the plastic barrel band. I own a Marlin 39-22lr and Marlin 57M-22mag but now that Marlin no longer offers a 22 WMR lever it seems that Henry is the way to go. The Frontier model is particularly nice since it is offered in 22lr, 22WMR, & 17HMR.

I'v got the Golden Boy .22 LR. A good shooter and looker. The looker part may not be so good thou if you dont like scratches. Man no matter what you do, you WILL get scratches on that frame.

Other then that, an awsome rifle.:)

Love mine!! There customer service is outstanding! When I received mine last Christmas froma big outfitter in MB the stock had some marring in the finish nothing big but I bought a brand new rifle and was a little dissapointed. Contacted henry directly and they were excellent! They sent me a new stock and forend and I had it in 14 days!! The president of the company answered my emails Anthony is outstanding. THe gun is unbeleivably accurate as well I can shoot the .22 silhouetts turned sideways at 25yds with open sights! Smooth action, way smoother than a buddies BL-22 he's mad cause he spent 2.5X's more. You can't go wrong in my opinion.

Owned two BL .22's at one time or other never liked either............Harold and Marlin can keep anything they make with micro-groove rifling

Alot of plastic and pot metal on these guns, I'd take a BL-22 or Marlin 39 over the Henry if available.

I agree.

I have the Henry lever in 22LR.

I was extremely p***ed off when I noticed the plastic barrel band and front sight. Really ruins a nice looking little rifle, and it's not mentioned in the description of the gun. Pretty sleazy I think.

After disassembly I wonder if durability will be an issue with these guns. There are some cheap-ass looking pot metal parts in there.

That being said, it's nice to shoot and has a smooth action. The wood looks nice too and the balance and heft are pleasant. If it didn't have the plastic I'd be pretty happy with it.

I really love mine. It's my go to .22 LR when I want to do some walking in the gopher fields. Smooth action and I have found it very accurate.

Oh, I didn't find any plastic on mine :D

I have two golden boys one is the regular and the other is the Abraham Lincoln. I also have two big boys one regular and one of the deluxe ones, both in .44mag
They are great rifles, no problems what so ever.

Thought we were talking Henrys, not Tikkas...try and stay on topic please! :p

Anyways...after much research I bought one last summer and have grown quite fond of it. Accurate, slick, and has a lovely trigger. Real decent walnut furniture considering the price-point.I replaced the "chunky" nylon front sight with a metal replacement direct from Henry cost about 16$ to my door. I consider myself a lever enthusiast with more than a few Marlins and Savage 99's in the safe and I don't feel bad about owning the little Henry one bit. Tight group in pictured target is kneeling at 30 yards, loose one is offhand,
Try one, I think you'll like it and my opinion is you couldn't do much better for the price paid. ;)

Thanks for the info Sun.

Can you provide the contact info for Henry? I'm interested in following in your footsteps.

It did not occur to me that I might be able to get metal parts from Henry.....

I think I'll be very happy with the rifle if I can get rid of the plastic as it is a pleasure to carry and shoot.
