I want to try this using some spray through stencils. I'm thinking Krylon Fusion Camouflage paint. How many colours am I going to need? Any tips and tricks would be much appreciated.

I think you need 6 colours. By the time you get enough paint, clearcoat, and stencils I think you'd be better off to get it hydrodipped, unless you're doing it out of interest. Hydrodip will actually be multicam and putting stencils yourself wherever will be a reasonable facsimile of it.

If you're wanting to do it well, look at model paints like Tamiya or Testors, and airbrush it on.

Otherwise it ends up looking like everyone else who tried making multicam on a budget.

OR like rommel said, just get it dipped and be done :d

I don't need it done well. It's not even going on a firearm. Just a fun little side project I wanted to do. Doesn't matter though as I can't get the colours I need. Thanks.

I miss the Krylon camo paint as well. Coverage was amazing. Stuck like glue. Even did a complete jeep in olive drab. Looks like Canadian tire doesnt carry it anymore. What a shame!
