Anyone have any fur on stretchers yet??

I havent set anything yet, but I' chompin at the bit here. Checked the gear 20 times, screwing around the other night and I caught my thumb in a 160.........*&%$..... (nice to get that out of the way early:D)

I havent got the time for much more than rats and coons this year but I'm still ready to go.

Post some details of your targets, trapping areas, market forecast.......etc.

Same here, I dont think there will be prime fur for a month or so. I have checked some road kill fox last week and they look OK, but there isnt much underfur.

With coons and rats 'm not to concerned, I gotta go when I get the time or I wont get a chance. Prime or not.

Do you get any buyers for the beaver carcasses in your area?

trapping

I get 10 bones a carcass from outfitters, Marten starts Nov1 also but I have impossed a self limit when I start getting females, alot of rats get turned into rat hats, and as I can have one peeled and on a board in less than 15 mintues it easy money. Believe it or not I did really well on weasels 15.00 average. Marten were down Wolves were down, Coyotes were good in the march auction 64.00 average Lynx were not that good, but sold the big ones whole along with wolverine to a taxidermist my favorite way he does not even want them skinned. Theres money in them trees I call it bush ATM, you never no what your limit is. If I knew how to post a picture could give you a schawk of pics, but your lucky I can type with three fingers
