Any upcoming DPMS G1-compatible semi-autos in the works?

I've been pretty out of the loop for a while now. Someone I knew had a bunch of parts for a DPMS Gen 1 style rifle in 308 and was bummed about the OIC, naturally. Are there any projects in the works that would facilitate such parts?

What would be the fate of one's LR-308 style BCGs? Would they ever stand a chance at being used in post-oic guns, or would a company's development of a firearm capable of using regular BCGs be too risky or impossible to pass the RCMP's testing as non-restricted?

The only thing I know of is the Adler International Firearms RS-Q2, but they claim very low parts compatibility with any AR10 pattern.

Those sort of parts do seem to fetch a good dollar right now tho.

Straight pull receivers are plentiful right now.

So there is the option of using those parts to build a manual action 308.
