any using Bushnell AR optics?

As seemingly tempting as these low budget scopes are for plinking AR's I haven't had much luck with Bushnell scopes.

Really? I've owned about half a dozen Bushnells and have never had any serious issues with them, and the one issue I had on a trophy was dealt with by warranty. Mind you, I've always steered clear of the Banner line, and don't count the crappy $50 scopes that come on the Savage combos as "real" Bushnells. Basically what I'm saying is the Trophy and Elite lines have always worked well for me.

Well I am impressed with the scope. Took about 15 shots to zero it and after moving from the 50 yard to 200 yard range I was breaking clays at 200 yards (with surplus ammo). I had to make a 11cm high correction at 200 yards for the clays and 5 clicks on the mil turrets got me there. I used the 200 yard holdover dot.

I will say this is not an optic for a precision rifle as the dots more than cover a 4" clay at 200 yards at 4X and at 100 yards the 1X magnification the dot more than covers a 1" dot.

I never even attempted to do a box test with the turrets as I was getting 3-4" groups at 100 yards and only had 8.5x 11 paper. That will be a later date.

I have a bushnell ar 1x28 red dot. I realize it isnt a magnified optic so therefore not a direct comparison but I am quite pleased. For the price I am not sure you will find better value. The mounting rings were included and seemed very robust (considering cost). The tube seems rigid. I should mention that the red dot is more of a red blotch. It isnt as crisp obviously as a higher end red dot. You get what you pay for but overall this is a good sight.
