Any vendors in Canada of National Match parts?

There are no "NM" gas cylinders on the market in Canada. Brownells carries the offshore manufacture springfield armory "NM unitized" gas cylinder. Smith enterprise probably makes the next best thing to usgi, but both these units exceed export limits.
Find yerself a skilled TIG welder and have it unitized.
Or send your cylinder and gas band only in to my shop for the service. We use a heavy brass jig for perfect alignment and it acts as a heat sink so no cylinder warping. This service is 95.00 including detailing and darkening of the weld locations as well as return shipping included. Email only m14doctor@hotmail.com ;)

I've been fortunate enough to examine and witness M14Doctor's work(gas cylinder welding) and I am thoroughly impressed. Someone knows how to hold that welding rod steadily! :D

If you are concerned about this welding job or unitizing job, have no fear, trust me, it goes a long way to tightening up your groups if that is your goal! :) It works!

Cheers,
Barney

Do this. You will get back a top notch part. I forget how many years ago he did mine, but I know it has been through a crate of PMC, each of which has been reloaded twice since.

Take your parts to a friend who welds and buy him a coffee to do it ... there are STICKY's at the top of the battle rifle page with pictures that shows how to do it ... it's not rocket science! ;)

No I have no way to post pics right now.
We match the filler rod to the composition of the steel.
We utilize a Miller mig/tig machine with a tig micro torch. I also am not the guy behind the welds, that would be my 35+ year experience steam fitter/pipe fitter/welder/steel fabricator... Mr TonyG.

Would I let just anyone, with any welder, and unknown experience weld on my gas systems? Hell no.
Doing a professional job, with the exact tools for the job including alignment jigs and heat sink so as to not cause heat deformations or warping, is essential.

I should add that we do have lots of NM oprod spring guide rods in stock.
