Any Winchester .22 collectors around?

No doubt the big collector market is in the USA, that said there are a number of canadians that have great gun collections. On the EE forum there is or was a Win 1905 pump gun and the asking price was $600.00 and it was in incredibly poor condition. There is a 52A at P&D right now and they have it listed at $1200.00 and its in pristene condition. so if these guns are in decent shape you'll get fair market value for them. FS

Winchester model 67

Of the 5 model 67 Winchesters I have bought in the last 5 years, least expensive was $25, most expensive was $75. They are good shooters with the 27 inch barrel but not as desireable as the model 68 with the target sights. I ended up mounting scope bases on them and giving 2 to a friend's kids on a farm. Lots of fun, but they never were an expensive rifle so collectibility isn't a real factor - at least not like the model 69, 75, 52, etc.. My older gun magazines from the early 60's have the 67's available through mail order for $9.95. Safe shooting, Peter.

The regular 67's didn't hold alot of value.....cause there were so many of them (383,000), and being non-serialized they are impossible to date.

**BUT**

The finger grooved model is unique. It was produced with the walnut FG stock for the first two years of production only: 1934 and 1935.
This makes it the only Model 67 that can be dated, and being a first 18 month run, the rarest as well.

67's in the USA go for anywhere from $150.00 all the way to $500.00, so not having seen the condition of your's its tough to say,FS

You'll have your work cut out getting any more than $100, maybe $125.
Shooters Choice had a finger groove 67 for $110, must have just sold it. Nice gun as well, I was thinking of buying it but already have 3, one of them finger grooved.

I hope you'll excuse the intrusion, but I'm curious what a VG+++ Winchester 75 Target is worth (1941 by serial number).

Would be EXC. but the bbl has been shortened (very professional job, recessed crown and all).

Just wondering....

Tim, once any alterations are done on older collectable fireams, their collector value is substancially diminished, and what you have left is just a nice gun that shoots well. FS
