Anybody else noticed a difference in 6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser M96 & M38 Mauser Barrels?

I have a few M38's and M96 6.5x55mm Swedish Mausers and was wondering if anybody else noticed that the throat lengths were different between the Carl Gustav made M96 and Husqvarna M38 made barrels.

If you have both do you use the same COAL when loading ammo? and do you find a difference in accuracy between the two models of rifles?

Is this difference across-the-board or does it pivot around 1941?

They brought out a new bullet in 1941, a 139 BT pointed slug, to replace the old RNFB 156 which had been around since 1894.

All my M96 chambers have loong freebores. On the order of 1/2 inch deep, or more. No way that any bullet could be seated out to near the lands, and still be gripped by the case neck.

M38's are much shorter throated. I can jam 140gr. Amax at 3.190" OAL, and still mag feed.
The Amax shank is well down the neck(3/4's).. for a nice firm seating grip.

They both shoot very well indeed despite their differences, with the M38 doing slightly better in a well tuned scoped rifle.
I've built a few with the Tradex M38 barrels that hold 1/2 MOA at 200 with 10x scope.
