I have an older M695 Tikka in 25/06 and I was getting it all set up and ready to go to the range for the first time when I noticed that it doesn't look like the bolt is sitting properly when closed. It doesn't appear to be properly closed and sitting against the stock when fully cocked and engaged and ready to fire. I bought this rifle used last month and this is the first time I have actually played around with it. When I cycle the bolt it doesn't seem to close all the way? When you dry fire the rifle the cocking indicator doesn't dissapear all the way into the shroud either... I noticed as well that the bolt can be opened and closed with the safety engaged. I don't think its suppose to do that. All of my T3's once the safety is on you can't cycle the bolt. I am not the most mechanically inclined guy so I am hoping this is something simple that I have overlooked and a fellow gunnut can put me on the right path to fixing this little issue
