would have to limit the mag to 5. Not sure if export would be an issue.

I don't see why it would have to be limited to 5 rounds?

A few years back I was asking the RCMP about the legallity of the ROSCO magazine conversion

As far as the tech was concerned, as long as each tube capacity was 5 rounds or less, it was a non-issue. His reasoning been that the firearm could only shoot 5 consecutive shots before needing a user intervention (reload).

If should have ask him to send this to me in writing... but by the time I got the answer and found out about the $$ of the kit, I wasn't that much interested anymore.

So you have to manually release and rotate the mag tube every 5 shots....hmmm....did not know that.

Assuming one could shoulder the firearm with a "full magazine".

Unfortunately both short versions can't be exported from the US, those are NFA guns, US State dept won't allow that.
