anybody guess what this is?

Wow Reaper...

Take a hike, your not contributing anything to this thread other than things we already know... We'll get excited if we want to regarding the information that he's posted, if you don't like it then gtfo.

Blue stratus, is this going to be an upgrade thing? I don't remember AR180b uppers being sold seperatley, so I assume this is something for people who already own the whole rifle?
I think what your doing is awesome, hopefully your reciever will only accept ar180b uppers and nothing else, the techs at the cfc would restrict it knowing it could accept an ar10/ar15 upper.

no not an upgrade i am manufacturing the entire rifle with some inspiration from the 180b but this will be an entirely new firearm

Hope this turns out good. What most people don't realize is that people such as yourself are going out on a limb to potentially benefit the Canadian gun community with a new product. They don't seem to understand you are investing cash into this thing, and it is risky because if it is not approved, there's a thousand or so dollars vaporized.

Good luck with this project, i'm excited at least :D.

By the way, what is the process one has to go through to obtain a manufacturers license? I'd like to get one in a couple years if my prototype gun build is approved so i may produce more.

I am subscribing and interested in buying this in the $1200-$1800 range. Thanks for the effort. Nothing wrong with showing a prototype and getting feedback. It is an essential part of any engineering process.

Darn you! I promised myself that I wouldn't spend more money on another rifle! :D Now it seems that if you pull this off with all you've said: price range, non-restricted, cool-style hunting rifle, I'll have to break that promise.

I think it would be sweet to have more guns produced in Canada.

spoke with the cfo about manufacturers license, seems pretty simple but i need another inspection and they want to see what kind of tools and machinery i have. Ive been through this before with my business license and the gunsmithing part wasnt an easy sell to them.
So we will see what happens when i get a working prototype.

At least know what it is you are pretending to be excited about..... man the mouth breathers are taking this place over.

... says the man who doesn't even know what he's angry about.

Personally, I read this thread because I would like to see the build progress. So stop cluttering the thread with useless BS. k thx.

working on prototype #2
had a problem with the first one so started again
sticking with the fal mags as the enfield 2a mags are crappy and wont even hold the rounds in.

more to follow

still need my barrel tiriaq lol

Barrel is ready to mail. Need your address.

pm sent tiriaq.

no more progress as of yet, still need some more steel for the barrel extension so as soon as i get that hopefully i will have time to work on it.
got some other work to finish for customers and one for myself.

Nice! I was working on the same thing last year except I didn't have the $300 to drop on different mags for the design process.

Good luck with keeping it Non-Restricted! If you can do it, I'll buy one!
