Anybody have a 45ACP small primer load?

Hey anybody have a good load for the 45 ACP with a small primer? Any one used small rifle primers in these yet? I want to make up a few next week for the chrono. Xray

The size of the primer really doesn't make any difference in performance in a pistol round. Use the same loads you would for large primer .45 brass.

I only use rifle primers. My load is a 230gr. Excel LRN over 4.8gr. of IMR 700X

Thanks guys, i know a buddy that uses small rifle primers, the cost is about the same. I've been using Win 321 and Win WST. Just have to load some up and run them through the chrono. Xray

Don't make too many until you are sure your firing pin has enough oomph to set them off.

Could try one in the basement with out a bullet or powder. Breath some of that clean lead from the primer.HeHe
