Hi guys...
I bought one of the Questar 11.5" complete-less-lower kits last week and I am just getting ready to build:

ARFcom instruction page: Check!
US Military, plus Dimaco tech manuals: Check!
Hammer: Check!
Wood blocks: Check!
Roll pin punches: Check!
CAR stock wrench: Inbound from Bushmaster...
Push Pin tool: Inbound from Bushmaster...

The only thing I need to to do the build is a roll pin starter tool... So I'm wondering if there is anyone in the Red Deer or Calgary areas that has one that I can borrow? (I'll be at the Calgary gun show on Friday)

I already built my first lower without some of this stuff, so now I want to do my second one the easy way, with all the right tools! Can anyone hook a brother up? :D

you don;t need the roll pin starter..... just lightly sand the edge to round it off a little and then apply light lube and it will go in.

usually takes a forceful rap..... be careful not to bend the ears though.

If you're talking about the roll pin for the bolt catch use a pair of taped vise grips. The tape eliminates marring and simply adjust the vise grips to slowly psh the pin in. There's no chance of swagging your pin this way and its a lot easier than beating on it with a hammer.

Kinda what he did but I used a c-clamp and drilled a little hole the size of the roll pin on the face to hold it while I press it in. Tape up the tool faces so you dont mark up the finnish.
