Anybody have an S&J Hardware bayonet mount for the Remington 870? Opinions?

I just purchased an Ontario M7 for my 590A1 and I was toying with the idea of a bayonet mount for my 870 Police too. It has the 2 shot factory extension which I believe will mount a bayonet on it. However, the factory magazine clamp gets in the way.
Would the bayonet mount erase the need for the factory clamp? In other words, would the bayonet mount effectively clamp the barrel and prevent the mag tube from turning?

Also, is there an exact measurement of how far back the mount should go or is it just trial and error?

Yeah you really need to go at those paper targets with fixed bayonets. Wouldn't try it with tannerite though

The SJ bayo mount is....

Very well made, very strong, very heavy, very functional, expensive IF you want a bayo on yer 870.

Yes it doubles as a mag/barrel clamp.
You simply mount it so the bayo fits properly....easypeasy.

There can be some issues with the outer diameter(s) of the barrels/mag extensions used.
It fits well using a factory rem mag ext and factory rem barrels although the police and express barrels are sometimes toothick and you need to fit the bayo mount(as in remove material or the like.

While at times they may need to be fitted
We have sold 1000,s of then and to people all over the world.
Its about 3% of the guns that its not a perfect fit
We do have the 1/2 mount and that fits eveything
But you then need a mag clamp.
