I ordered a CZ bore guide from Yo Dave on March 5 after two weeks I sent an email requesting a tracking number

the reply

there are no tracking numbers with the standard $9 US shipping option, willing to bet you see it this week, 2-3 weeks seems to be the new normal

Since then, I've sent an email each week with no reply?

The total was $31.50 US a little strange since he's in BC? He charges $9 US ($11.50 CAN) then sends it at my risk in a $2 packet seems a little unfair.
I’m out $31.50 US the really frustrating part he has no phone number and won’t respond to emails

If it's not small enough to qualify as letter mail, $11.50 is not expensive. Seems like Canada post wants at least $15 to ship anything anywhere.

I have shipped lots of things over the years on Canada Post and yeah, unless it is a sent via parcel (regular or Xpresspost), there is no tracking number. So if it is a book assuming it is not thick enough to be outside a bubble mailer, it probably got shipped for oversized mail (probably a few dollars, probably not $9.00 US). Of course the lack of response is a bit disconcerting - you would think as a seller, you want to instill confidence in what you have to sell and part of that is making your buyers feel at ease, including fast response by email, phone or whatever. Some people may not be online much, but if you are going to sell something, best be available for questions, etc. Comfort level with the buyer goes a long way towards successful transactions.

I've ordered 3 kits from them over the years, never a tracking number and never an issue.

I've ordered springs before came in a mailer $1.86 CAN stamp paid $9 US shipping I really didn't care as long as I got it

The lack of communication is what really burns my toast

I think he is still on CGN....maybe he will comment.
FYI...I did get my kit a few years ago, no issues.

Three weeks of silence 2 hours after I posted this

Hey just checked the order date, yeap it's been to long. sending out a replacement package today

I guess Dave is on Gunutz problem solved.......I hope

I did the same back in the day when I did a lot of selling as an income. It was easier to do one blanket shipping cost than to list or manage multiple costs for small objects. I considered it part of the handling/gas/post office costs. I know there are software solutions to make it easier...but I was old school...and a little lazy!

I'm ok with it either way, but I always check the fine print on the shipping to ensure I know the final cost. These days you kind of have to.

bet you'll still get the first one. Canada Post has been all over the map during the pandemic.
my wife loves tea, so for Xmas I got her a tea subscription from a little shop in BC. we're in Alberta, and usually the stuff we order from BC comes in 2 days to a week. January took 10 days. it took 30 days for her February tea subscription to show up in the mail. in March it showed up 3 days after getting shipping confirmation. these are all letter sized, no tracking, they weigh nothing.
still waiting for the April subscription to arrive...

Why would anybody ship anything without tracking? I've ordered over 50 items in the past 6 months at least 15 from BC none took over a week with tracking he charged $11.50 to mail charge another$3 for tracking then both parties know what going on how would I know it was even sent?

If another shows up I will return it

Another vote for Canada Post (or against) ordered an item and what do you you know... 4 months later it arrived..
which was 3 months too late for Christmas. I would charge extra for shipping and packaging if it were me too, takes time and supplies. Either that or raise the price of the trigger kit which wouldn't be fair to the guys buying it in his store (if he has a store). I have one of his trigger kits and I like it. Less creep and lighter pull. Worth the money in my opinion.

I ordered a book about Hi Standard Pistols from a book dealer (B 2 B) out west. It never came. The dealer almost always answered
my phone calls & did everything he could. In 2-3 weeks we gave up finding it & the dealer EMT my $ back as he has no more copies of that book.
No issue with dealer @ all. Canada Post was the issue here.
