Anybody have trouble with YO Dave ?

We got the original package back in the mail today, they managed to rip the front face of the envelope so bad that it was undeliverable, regardless the replacement package should be at least half way to you by now if not closer
Canada post at it's finest never ship anything without tracking even if it's costs a few dollars more

Well, as others have said or suggested, YoDave is a great seller with (what I know to be) a great track record. I've ordered from him at least 3X, and in all cases, items were sent regular post with no tracking. Nothing lost, products always performed as expected.
I regularly recommend his products to buddies, and did so again recently. Since his track record with my orders has been perfect, and the consensus is that he's a well-liked, trustworthy seller...I can send a low-dollar amount EMT to make the purchase with confidence. lol I also trust that if something is lost or doesn't show up for some reason, he'll honor the deal and send a replacement. Granted, I've never asked him or needed that...but the trust level is there quite frankly.

THIS ! No problems for me - and Dave cannot control anything after he has mailed it - Its then in the CAPABLE ?? hands of Canada Post ! RJ

I believe that Dave is a stand up guy. That did not prevent my first purchase from leaving a bad impression. As mentioned his pricing is in US dollars and he does charge $9.00 US to put 4 small springs into an envelop that cost him $2.00 Canadian to mail. When I got my Visa statement and noticed that there was a 35% up charge I emailed him and got no response. A second somewhat heated email did get a response but was limited to "I sell mostly into the USA so charge US dollars"
It was eventually sorted out but a mention on his site that he charges/prices in US dollars would go a long way in clarifying his business policies and avoiding most all negative feelings and comments from customers. His springs do perform as advertised.

On a side note, I have done business with him and was totally satisfied with the product and the shipping, however he asked on the rimfire forum about plastic CCI ammo boxes that he liked. I saved a quantity of them and sent them too him without asking anything in return. I liked his attitude about the ignore list and ive used his products with good success so thought Id do him a solid(favour). Never even received a thank you which isnt real cool with me. I dont want anything and didnt ask for anything but a thank you is free. I went out of my way and emptied full ammo boxes into a peanut butter jar to get him the containers and paid money from pocket to do this and he couldnt even say thanks? Well Dave you also make to IGNORE LISTS
I would rather put up with my heavy trigger on my cz457 than pay 9 dollars US for shipping, as he lives a few miles from my house on Van. Island.Cheaper for him to take the bus to my house and deliver personally.The other CGN members I have met, are that nice.

I have occasionally sold stuff on CGN EE. So packing it up in my garage. Packing, bubble wrap came from where? tape to hold packing together came from where? Cardboard box to size of what I was sending came from where? Somebody to put that all together (me, usually) wants "How much per hour?" Then after it is addressed - so where did that information come from?? - for us, is 30 mile drive to Post Office. And you want to pay what, for mailing a parcel from here to you???

YoDave has a business to run, and I've dealt with sellers who wouldn't meet if they lived next door. They ship everything/no exceptions. (personal safety issue?) Buy it or don't, but it seems odd to say that you have a $600-$1000+ rifle but won't make a $15 Cdn purchase out of spite. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy his products. I think they're great value, and always felt I'm paying for the effort that's been made to source the correct spring, package it, and have it available.
