Been thinking about an auto loader for some time and have been reading reading reading. Was leaning toward a versamax until I saw the V3. Just wondering what everyones thoughts on the V3 are?

Primarily will be hunting. Mostly upland but would like to get into waterfowl eventually. Target shooting and occasional trap. Although I would love to get involved in more shooting related activities for sure.

I have throughly researched the pros & cons, gas versus inertia, and think a gas gun is for me. My father has an 1100. For the haters. The 1100 still holds the record for most rounds before a malfunction, 24000 google it! I'm not to terribly interested in getting beaten up by an inertia gun. I also have no problem cleaning a firearm regularly. I have considered the M2 and A400 but at this point leaning to gas.

Don't have one yet but as soon as they come across the border I'M ON IT!! I got a versamax and it's absolutely bulletproof. Dropped it in the water, in the mud, covered in ice, snow rain it just keeps on goin. Can't beat the versaport gas system, impossible I don't care what anybody says I've put it through absolute hell from mudholes to ice storms and never had a hiccup of any sort, I say go for the V3 as soon as you can get your hands on one!

None in country as far as I can tell, the reviews I've read seem positive. Depending on how quickly you want your new gun since the last I read the projected distribution was to begin in Mid to late August in the USA so we may not get them here until later.

Have you shot an inertia gun?or just what youve been reading...ive had berettas and a maxus, now shooting a franchi affinity and i honestly couldnt say it kicks much more than the 2 gas guns ive had, i notice a bit more barrel rise as its around a lb lighter. People blow the enertia vs gas out of proportion..

It will only shoot 2-3/4 and 3" shells, that is why I opted for the Versa Max. I don't normally shoot 3-1/2" shells but it's nice to know I am not restricted if I'm out hunting and find myself needing to borrow shells from someone that only carries 3-1/2" shells.

I upgraded from pump to semi this year, I was looking at a versa max. But I went with a Beretta A300, felt nicer. Guy at work used one last season with zero issues. Only a few boxes of trap loads so far but no issues. Also the LOP adjustment was nice( when my boys are old enough to handle a 12ga). I suggest actually shooting what you think you might like, may change things...
