Anybody run handloads in a Tavor 7 yet?

Curious if anybody has tried out some home-rolled for theirs yet?

I've been running the Federal bulk XM80 ammo through mine and have been pleasantly surprised to get a couple groups right at and even slightly sub-moa.

I'm going to load up some 165gr. Accubonds to try out for accuracy as I want to try it out during moose season this year. Its compact size and handling seems well paired to hunting the thick brush in NW Ontario.

Feel free to chime in with any experience, I'll be sure to report back with my results in a week or two.

Well, I just got back from the range and one thing is for sure, this thing does not like 168 grain Accubonds or TTSX! I had some 150 gr TTSX over H4895 loaded up for my old M14 with me that I decided to try in the Tavor.

This thing has been pretty accurate with the Federal bulk 7.62 stuff, and that is loaded with 149 gr FMJs, so figured the 150s might fly better than the 168s.

Pleasantly surprised. I only had a couple to try, not enough to call it a full group, but it was apparent enough. Other thing to mention that was quite noticeable was the recoil impulse. With the 168s I had used Varget and RL-15. Recoil wasn't bad, bolt ka-chunked with ever squeeze of the trigger.

With the 150s over H4895, it was a bit snappier on the recoil with less push back and the bolt cycled considerably faster. It ejected harder too. I found a case neck embedded on the plywood lane divider that was sitting about 8 inches from the ejection port! Everything ran fine, just an observation really.

I'll post my results if there is anything worth mentioning. Still haven't had a chance to measure up my groups yet.
