Anybody tried/bought the new Frankfort Arsenal M-Press Co-Axial yet?

Saw one on the shelf and on display at the local Big Box store in Vaughn, Ontario. It seemed pretty substantial, and the press action was very smooth on the display unit. Reasonably priced, I think I remember about $350 +/-.

While I have a RockChucker for my rifle reloading efforts, I've always had a hankering for a co-ax, so I wondered if anybody on the forum has tried one/bought one yet and could give some feedback or a review.

The only quirky thing I noted about this new Coaxial is the die mounting blocks. The threaded inserts seem to slide into a receptacle on the top casting, rather than twist-lock like the Hornady design on either their single stage or progressive, or direct thread like my RockChucker.

Any feedback appreciated.

I've always been happy with my Frankford stuff. It seems like it would be a good press. Yes, that basically copied Forester's design, it does the same thing. I think its a really ingenious design to ensure your die is always set back to the same place every time. Saves that hassle of setting it. Id say try it, worst comes to worst their return policy is probably pretty decent.

Thanks, Caperaway. I didn't catch that when i did an initial search. The "issues" that Hirsch found were not provided, but for a retailer to return a product series speaks volumes. I wonder whether Frankfort Arsenal will update/upgrade to eliminate the "issues". When they do, I'll reconsider and perhaps purchase.

My loading bench has two Co-Ax presses, one is an original Bonanza, the other the newer
version, marked Forster. The newer press has the deeper yoke, so you can use BR
seating dies in it. I am sold on the Forster Co-Ax, and in looking at the Frankford, I do
not see the quality that the Bonanza/Forster has. I'll pass, thanks. Dave.
