Anybody use a sling to carry a Mare's Leg?

Hey all - Has anyone here tried using a sling to carry a Mare's Leg type of rifle? If so, did you use traditional levergun mounting hardware? Is the short length a problem? I would like some way to carry it on my back, but I am worried that it will slide around more than a traditional-length rifle.

Mine is coming in the mail, just thought I'd ask here first. If anyone has pictures of how it hangs off the shoulder, that would be much appreciated!

Gorgeous setup, for sure. I'm really looking for more economical options, but that does give me some ideas about making a nylon sling-scabbard if mounting a sling directly on the rifle is a non-option.

Still looking for opinions / pics of a sling directly on the rifle...
