Anyone bought a Chaparral Arms rifle from Marstar yet?

I have been looking at these rifles and found this old thread. I know someone here must have one or two of these rifles since they are sold out of some models.

So lets hear it. Any good?

Basically what I have heard they are a hit or miss kind of deal.If you get lucky you end up with a fine gun if not a pile of junk.I was going to buy a 76 from them but didn t want to take a chance so I bought a Uberti 76 in 45/60

First hand experience?

Thanks for that.:)

I would like to hear from someone who has first hand experience with these rifles. I am considering a yellowboy or '73 to shoot .38Sp.

I had a Rossi '92 that turned into a very nice rifle after I tuned it up a bit. It was fun fun fun to shoot.

So lets hear from someone who actually owns a Chaparral rifle.

My Chaparral seems like a decent rifle...its an NWMP replica '76 carbine in 45-75. I've done very little load testing so far but with the few cast-bullet loads in both Black and smokeless it shoots well...I'm quite satisfied.
Would like to find a suitable tang sight....:)

I bought a NWMP 76 when they came out and I got a lemon unfortunately. Sent it back for my money and got a Uberti 76. I know some guys who bought a Chappy they had no probs, so at least with the 76's it was a hit and miss for that specific model.
