Anyone carries Agula 60gr ammo?

I have shot SSS out of Anschutz and Valmet target rifles and it groups OK with no keyholing. However conventional ammo groups much better out of the same rifles.

SSS is really a specialty ammo. It isn't any quieter than typical subsonics but it does offer a lot more hitting power.

Dr. Lector,

Mine is similar to this one.

It was built on a metal lathe using O-1 tool steel. The faces are parallel and the rim area is large enough to not cause any safety concerns. You load a round in the holder, place it on a solid, flat surface and file the tip off using a single cut, medium flat bastard file. If you use a good quality, sharp file the finish should be clean with no burrs or distortion. Penetration and energy transfer with the 60 grain Aguila SSS with the tip cut to a nice meplat and out of a 22 inch barrel is dramatic.

You can square up the tip, make sure hollow point openings are more symetrical and slightly reduce the weight to increase speeds on all 22lr rounds.

Is it a gimmick? Maybe, but I am sold.
