I bought a case of the 78 mfg portguese 7.62 nato and it says 963 M I suspect this means 963 meters per second which 3159 feet per second.

Seems pretty fast I thought nato spec was 2750 to 2800 for nato anyone with any experience on this.

That makes more sense

However. Anyone know how fast they are moving out of a Norc m-305. I am using 2750 feet per second and 147 grain. Also what is the good ballistic coefficient for this Ammo.

regards

Jason

Official designation is "Cartucho con bala normal M.963" for Port. 7.62 Nato ammo. Pottuguese practice is to delete first digit from model date.

Heard they were the best to buy of all the older milsurp stuff out there...I personally had very good results with the FMN & Norinco stuff.
