anyone else besides me hate hirtinburger ammo?

Hirtinburger ammo is crap least I think so.I hate dud rounds,slow ignition and each round sounded different from the last anyone notice this when they used this ammo?

I don't know about Hirtinburger, (sounds like a name for rancid beef ) but Hirtenberger ammunition is some of the best ammo made, albeit some people consider it to be somewhat "hot". Perhaps yours was subject to poor storage conditions before you received it?

i bought a few boxes a couple of years ago and found it to be quite good. mostly would shoot under 2 inches from a bolt rifle. maybe you have a bad batch.

+1 . Sounds like a wet ammo / storage issue.

mine worked great. 2"- 2.5" or better 5 shot groups at 100 -which is ecxcellent for me.

I went through a crate of it and loved it. So much that I kept every piece of brass that I could recover.

What was the year of yours and was it still in original factory packaging? (the stuff I had was in sealed 200 round battle packs from 78).

I have found the surplus from portugal to be more accurate. the hertenberger has the odd bad box.
